Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy, also known as physical therapy, is a healthcare profession that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of physical disabilities, injuries, and conditions that affect movement and function.
It involves the use of joint mobilization, various manual therapies, stretches, and therapeutic massages to help individuals improve their mobility, relieve pain, and restore normal function. Physiotherapists also provide therapeutic exercise programs to aid in recovery, strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance overall movement patterns.
Women's Health
Women’s health physiotherapists are involved in providing services such as antenatal and postnatal education, pregnancy-specific exercises and individual musculoskeletal treatments for pregnancy-related back pain and incontinence. In addition, we also design osteoporosis education and treat women post-mastectomy.
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage involves the assessment, analysis and treatment of your body. It uses a wide range of soft and deep tissue technique to relieve sore muscles, improve posture and flexibility, prevent and/or manage injury.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy aims to treat the whole person, not just symptoms. Treatments aim to resolve an injury, related pain, and the underlying reasons why the injury occurred in the first place. Osteopaths often use gentle techniques to balance the body’s musculoskeletal system and improve overall function.
Techniques include soft tissue stretching, muscle energy techniques, joint manipulations, articulations, and other hands-on approaches to alleviating discomfort. Underlying causes of an injury and/or pain may include posture, lifestyle factors, emotional stress, and daily habits.
Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates are run by experienced physiotherapists with specialised training in the Pilates methodology. Prior to commencing, a thorough assessment is undertaken to develop a personalised pilates program. It focuses on posture, core strengthening, balance, strength, breathing, flexibility and overall physical fitness. It can also be used in combination with physiotherapy to help you recover from various acute and chronic injuries.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy also known as “aquatic physiotherapy” is the use of heated pool for therapy, rehabilitation, exercise, relaxation and more. Hydrotherapy can decrease pain and swelling, increase function, strength and range of movement.
Gym/Exercise rehabilitation
Our qualified physiotherapists run gym programs at our rehab gym. To maximise performance results, it is a prerequisite that you attend a one-on-one physio consultation to develop an individually tailored gym rehab program.
Cupping/Dry needling/Acupuncture
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. It helps with blood flow, pain, inflammation and general well-being.
Dry Needling and Acupuncture are useful modalities to treat muscles aches, provide pain relief and assist your injury rehabilitation. The technique involved with inserting an acupuncture needle into the trigger point in the muscle. These needles are incredibly thin with a diameter of about 0.3 of a millimetre.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound is a modality that has been used by physiotherapist since the 1940s. Ultrasound is applied using the head of an ultrasound probe that is placed in direct contact with your skin via a transmission coupling gel. It facilitates tissue healing, reduces local swelling and chronic inflammation.
Exercise Physiology
Exercise Physiologist analyses a client’s medical history to determine the best exercise and fitness regimen. Exercise Physiologist develop physical activity programs to help people improve components of their fitness such as cardiovascular function, muscular strength or flexibility.
